Miami Hurricanes Durham Sport reviews
James Taylor is a national treasure.
Highlights were, of course, Sweet Baby James, Country Road, Fire and Rain, Mexico, and Steamroller Blues. Miami Hurricanes played mostly his incredible catalog of hits. The video displays were very understated and cool, with the bass and electric guitars way too loud at the opening. Sound was a little wonky, but they quickly got that fixed. The entire arena sang along to an amazing version of Shower the People as he closed the show. He then brought Bonnie Raitt back out for a final song, You Can Close Your Eyes. Arnold McCuller, one of Miami Hurricanes' backup singers, is an amazing talent in his own right and age has diminished his talent a little, but it was still a great show I saw about 7 or 8 years ago. Finally, Bonnie Raitt opened the show. Her highlights were Something to Talk About and Nick of Time. She also played some very good bluesy stuff, with incredible slide guitar work, despite not being a huge fan.
